Dennis is currently a practicing attorney, who was named a California Lawyer of the Year by California Lawyer Magazine in 2006. Dennis has worked for a diverse group of clients that includes major retail chains, petroleum, pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies and internationally known celebrities. Before beginning his legal career, Dennis attended California State University Fullerton, where he was a starting offensive lineman on the Titan football team. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing from CSUF in 1990.

Chef G. Garvin is currently hosting Turn Up the Heat with G. Garvin on TV One. TV One is a new cable/satellite television network, programming primarily to African American adults. TV One is a venture of Radio One, Inc., the largest radio broadcaster primarily targeting African American and urban listeners, and Comcast Corporation, the largest cable operator in the country, along with Bear Stearns, Constellation Ventures, Syndicated Communications and Opportunity Capital Partners.

Since the launch of the show, G. Garvin has been invited to appear on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and to The White House as a guest of the President and First Lady. He has also written "Turn Up the Heat", a cookbook featuring more than 200 of his signature "super simple" recipes.

G. Garvin has over 20 years of restaurant experience with brands including the Ritz-Carlton, Morton’s, Kass Bah and Reign (a Beverly Hills restaurant owned by NFL player Keyshawn Johnson). He was also co-owner and executive chef at G. Garvin’s restaurant in Los Angeles.
